While working with Dr. Sho Tsuji, I co-developed a humanoid robot-infant interaction experiment which contrasts a robot that emits social cues with one that does not, and assesses an infant’s social reaction in these two conditions.
I was in charge of programming the humanoid robot, Nao, which included implementing various well-matched social and non-social gestures, features that made the experiment engaging to infants, creating a user-friendly GUI, and experimental randomization procedures.
